Following a long convalescence at home, James Adelbert Beers passed from this world on Friday, August 1, 2025.

Jim was surrounded by love and family during his final moments. Jim is now at peace and has gone to a better place.

Jim was known for his outgoing, kind, and giving personality. Jim was a free spirited person, always on the move with an itinerary of stops and people to visit. Loaded with tales of his past, he strived to bring laughter and joy to those around him. In his former years, Jim sailed his boat, ran a business, rebuilt homes, and road his motorcycle. Jim enjoyed blaring the oldies, watching Two and A Half Men, and most importantly… visiting family and friends around the country.

Survived by his wife Catherine Crompton of Amesbury, MA; son, James H. Beers and Kim Johnson of Margaretville, NY; granddaughter Julia Dickens and Daniel Dickens of Wilmington, NC; granddaughter Sophia Beers and Corey Mitchell of Boiceville, NY; great-granddaughter Olivia Alexandria Locke of Margaretville, NY; and great-grandson Levi James Mitchell of Boiceville, NY. He was predeceased by his son, Paul John Beers in 1990; father, Harland B. Beers in 1963; mother, Ruth Beers Herrick in 2001; and step-father, Everett W. Herrick in 1988.

Friend to many and loved by many.

Service to be held in Margaretville, NY, in September, date to be determined. Arrangements were made by Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA 01913.
