James Charles Mack, 76
James Charles Mack died November 3, 2025. He was born on December 21, 1948 in Greenville, Alabama to Joe and Callie Mack. A resident Okeechobee for nearly 20 years, he enjoyed to fish, traveling and was of the Christian faith. His passion was working and driving cement trucks for Tarmac/Titan, where he worked for over 50 years. He took great pride in the way he dressed and in the way he represented the company. James and Linda were married on a bright day of August 2, 1996. Though they did not have children together they had the privilege of raising a grandchild, Jeremiah Williams.
Mr. Mack was preceded in death by parents, Joe and Callie Mack; brothers, Sonny, Genie and Eddie; and sisters, Lilly Mae, Lettie, and Little Sister.
He leaves behind his cherished memories with his loving wife of 31 years, Linda Mack.
He is survived by his children, Curtis Mack (Marsha), Sheria Mack, Jovonne Mack, Katrina McPherson, Vincent McPherson (Theresa), Antonio Bass (Angel), Arlena Bozeman; brother, Ray Charles Mack; sisters, Ernestine Mack and Kate Mack (Luddie), brother in laws, Cullen Bass (Cynthia) and Johnathon Bass; sister in law, Johnnie Mae Bass Campbell (TC); 23 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Vitas Hospice Team of Mrs. Susan, Ms. Yaredy, Ms. Emilienne, Ms. Ashley and Ms. Simone. Also a special thank you to the Vitas crisis care team Bernice, Maria, Kathy, Tracie, Novelette, Sylvia, Yvonne, Guerda. As well as a special thank you to Dr. Hammad Amed.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2025 at Buxton Okeechobee Funeral Home. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 20245 at Oakview Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
