Pastor James L. Maggard

Pastor James L. Maggard Sr., age 86, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday November 24, 2025, with loving family by his side.
Pastor Maggard was a soul/sole saver. He was a pastor for 45 years and he was a cobbler (shoe repairman) for over 60 years. Pastor Maggard won many souls to the Lord over the years. He never failed to share the gospel with those that he came in contact with. A devoted servant of God, Pastor Maggard faithfully led Full Gospel Outreach for 45 years, touching countless lives with his unwavering faith and compassion. He was a cobbler by trade and he helped many people from resoling shoes to medically necessary buildups to improve quality of life.
He shared 62 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Kitty Maggard, a union built on love, faith, and family. Together, they raised five children: Joe (Rhoda) Maggard, Tammy (Jimmie) Adams, James (Sandy) Maggard, Michael (Polly) Maggard, and Barbara (Clint) Ward.
Pastor Maggard was blessed with numerous grandchildren who brought joy to his life: Trisha (Jamie) Raney, Leslie (Terry) Hinkle, Joshua (Shelly) McGuire, Joshua (Vanessa) Adams, Scottie (Sierra) Maggard, Christopher (Angie) Gallimore, Samantha (Nathan) Rook, Andrew Maggard, Levi Ward, Kylee Fox and Ethan Maggard. His legacy continues through 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Dorothy Maggard, his brothers; Pastor Johnny Maggard and Pastor Bobby Maggard, sisters; Virgie Jones, Birdie Mae Alcorn and his cherished grandchildren Cody and Jacob McGuire. Pastor Maggard's life was a testament to faith, family, and service. His gentle spirit and steadfast devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Visitation will be held 4 – 8 p.m., Thursday December 4, 2025, at Full Gospel Outreach Church 6898 Middletown – Germantown Road, Middletown, Ohio, where the Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday December 5th, with The Boys officiating.
