Pastor Bobby Maggard

Pastor Bobby Maggard, age 78, of Carlisle, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Saturday September 27, 2025, at Kettering Health ~ Main Campus, with loving family by his side. He was born in West Carrollton, Ohio on February 25, 1947, son of the late Dorothy (Cantrell) and Joe Maggard. Pastor Bobby dedicated 40 years to ministry, serving the Cross & Crown Christian Assembly Church for the past 23 years. He retired from Sorg Paper Company after 32 years and later drove for MRDD for 11 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Johnny Maggard; and 2 sisters, Bertie Mae Alcorn and Virgie Jones. Pastor Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Beverly S. (Clemmons) Maggard; 2 daughters, Angela (Gary) Estes and Amanda (Jason) Hoffman; 5 grandchildren, David (Courtney) Estes, Christa Auvil and Jayden, Gracie, Trinity and Jase Hoffman; twin great-granddaughters, Maven & Stella Estes; his brother Rev. James (Kitty) Maggard, his twin Billy Maggard and Tommy (Shirley) Maggard; numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Friday October 3, 2025, at the Cross & Crown Christian Assembly Church, 8898 Dayton-Oxford Road, Carlisle, Ohio, where the Funeral Service will follow at 12 p.m., with Rev.
