James Nicholas Mangieri

James Nicholas Mangieri, 79 of Olyphant, formerly of Dunmore, peacefully passed away after an illness on May 14th at Abington Manor. He was the proud former owner of Yum Yum Pizza in Dunmore for 30 years.
Born in Scranton he was the son of the late Thomas and Catherine Finan Mangieri. He was a beloved companion for 50 years to Jacquelyn Conway. Together they raised her three children, Colleen Cawley (James) Scranton, Joseph Conway (Christine), Roaring Brook Twp., and Shannon Ancherani (Nelson), Dunmore. He adored their six grandchildren Alexandria, Taylor, James, Jacob, Paige, and Peyton, and great-granddaughter Isla.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He served his country with honor and dedication.
He is also survived by his brother Thomas Mangieri (Nancy), Roaring Brook Twp., and his sisters Catherine O'Donnell (Ken), Orchard Park, NY, Marie Lalley (Frank), The Villages, FL, Deborah Chilek, Dickson City, Diane Stango (Vincent), Dunmore, Delphine Kalinowski (Richard), Olyphant. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his aunt Theresa Swadeba and brother-in-law Joseph Chilek.
There will be no viewing hours per Nick's wishes. Interment will be private.
