James Allen Marble, 76, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on December 9, 2024. He was born on March 21, 1948, in Salina to Ray and Margarette (Frailey) Marble. James proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, embodying courage and dedication. Following his service, he worked for many years with Williams Construction, where he was known for his strong work ethic and skill. A man of many talents and interests, James found joy in hunting, fishing, and building. He loved raising chickens and dogs. He especially cherished time spent with his family during the holidays, creating memories that will be treasured by all who knew him. James leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love for the outdoors, and dedication to his family. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacy Ritter and husband Creed of Claremore, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, Justin Marble and Lydia, Kayla Barry and Trevor, Reece Marble all of Salina, Oklahoma, Elijah Ritter, and Jake Ritter both of Claremore, Oklahoma; 5 great grandchildren, Blakely Marble, Kambree Marble, Ryker Joe Marble, Luke Barry, and Grayson Barry; sister, Barbara Conley of Salina, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Margarette Marble, and his son, Joe Don Marble.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 13, 2024, at Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor with Pastor Rick Condit officiating. Burial will follow in the Marble Hill Family Cemetery with Greg Stokes, Justin Marble, Elijah Ritter, Reece Marble, Jake Ritter, and Kevin Lawrence serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Jason Jordan and Trevor Barry. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel.
