James Marr Obituary
Spartanburg, SC
James William Marr, 81, loving husband for thirty years to Jenny Marr, left his earthly home on Sunday, December 07, 2025 to be with the Lord. Born on November 26, 1944, he was the son of the late Charlie and Eula Mason Marr. James was a member of Canaan Baptist Church and was retired from South Carolina Highway Department. He was a veteran of the US National Guard.
Survivors also include his daughter, Dena McIntyre and husband, Joey; a step-daughter, Anita McCullough and husband, Jason; two sisters, Jean Gregg and Helen Long; a brother, Charlie Marr; five grandchildren, Lacey, Kendal, Kelsey, Haley and Hannah; and five great-grandchildren, Arlie, Titan, Emma, Rosalyn and Lillie. He was predeceased by a sister, Judy Nunn; and a step-son, Kenny Nelson.
Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Darrell Revels officiating with special prayers by Joey McIntyre and Jonell Fowler.
