James Martin Jr, 65 of 107 North Jefferson Ave. Anderson SC entered eternal peace on September 03, 2025, at Rainey Hospice House. He was born on the 25th day of August 1960 to the late James Martin Sr. and Ollie Gaines. He was reared in the homes of Ms. Clement Martin, and Mr. Lonnie and Eula Mae Chamblee. James was a graduate of TL Hanna High School; he also played sports for the Boy's Club, as a child. He was a participant in the Boys Scout too. Later in life, he worked for Metromont, where he was employed until his health declined. James enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved a good laugh, cracking jokes, music, singing, dancing, and was also a grill master. He leaves to cherish memories his wife of forty – five years Mary Martin, children: Marcus ( Patricia) Martin, Greta Martin, Tammy Gilbough, and Ramonica Jones, grandchildren reared in the home: Tamara Swinger, Jamion ( Kelytha) Martin, Alfred ( Frankie) Phelps, Raluchi (Darnella) Wideman, Diamon Thompson, Tanya ( Rob) Bright, Angel Wideman and Kelechie Cowan, siblings: Martha Martin (Melissa), Allen Earl, Amanda Gaines, Del Mc Donald, Cathey Johnson, Lonnie Chamblee, Junita Sadler, special nieces and nephews: Theresa (Harry) Zellars, Lydia Heard, Quatanjula Oliver, Antonio (Keisha) Hatten, Channtay Ibewke, Zena Brock, Mamie Crawford, Tiffany (Tron) Greenlee, and Iva Hill, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In additional to his parents, James was preceded in death by his siblings Ronnie Swilling, Linda Mattison, and John Pressley, nephews Santana Martin and David Walton, mother- in - law Mable Phelps and his sisters-in-law Mable Colbert, Agnes Walton, Lilian Heard, Trumella Cowan, and Betty Jean Phelps. A special thanks to his hospice nurse Megan. Public viewing will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 3 -7 pm at Foggie Holloway Funeral Home. Service will be held at Foggie Holloway on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 12 pm. Family will be at 107 North Jefferson Avenue Anderson SC
