James Franklin "Jim" Martin, Sr. was born on March 17, 1943 in Thomaston, Ga to Eugene Felton Martin and Ruby Jewelle Collins. He was one of 5 brothers and preceded in death by his father, mother, brothers Eugene and Donald.
He grew up in Atlanta and graduated college from Southern Tech. He started work immediately after school with NCR in Dayton, Ohio. He married Carolyn Lee Stewart Feb.19, 1966. They were transferred to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where his two children Monica Lynn (married to Stephen) and James Franklin Jr were born. They moved back to Atlanta in 1971 and after being in the Armed Forces and serving in the National Guard. He then went to work for his brother at Electrical Distributors and in the mid 90s he started his own electrical supply business called County EDI. He successfully owned that until he retired in 2018.
He has 5 beautiful grandchildren

Harris Franklin ( Jimmy)
Jim was loved dearly and will be forever missed. He was a devoted spouse, friend, father and grandfather. He never met a stranger and had an infectious smile and laugh. His generosity will never be forgotten as it was spread throughout his lifetime.
Private graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery.
