Jim married Patricia Zorbaugh in York. He was the father of Stephanie McCoy and Douglas McCoy Sr.
Jim worked for Zeigler Concrete, York International, was a trucker who loved Mack trucks, and also served in the Marine Corps. Reserves.
He was a parishioner at Holy Infant Church.
Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia, his children Stephanie McCoy and Douglas McCoy Sr. and his partner Linda Bucalo, grandchildren Preston Shaffer, Douglas McCoy Jr., and Dylan McCoy, great-grandchildren Raine and Kayden Shaffer.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Reba McCoy.
John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, East., are assisting with the arrangements.
