James Alan McDaniel

James Alan McDaniel, age 66, of Loganville, GA passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, at his home due to a cardiac event. Alan was born in Decatur, Georgia, on March 27, 1959, and grew up in Clarkston, Georgia.
Alan attended McLendon Elementary School and Shamrock High School in Decatur. During high school, he excelled in wrestling and baseball. He especially loved fishing, cars, and woodworking. Later in life, he was active in church and volunteer work.
In 2004, Alan retired from UPS after a long career and later created his own real estate investment company.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Orell McDaniel, born in Atlanta, Georgia, and Mary Aldean Bentley McDaniel, born in Carnesville, Georgia. He is survived by his brother, Brian L. McDaniel of Ellijay, Georgia, as well as many other family members and dear friends.
Visitation for Alan will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Tom M. Wages Funeral Home, 120 Scenic Highway, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046.
