James H. "Jim" McKinnon, 65, of East Liverpool, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, January 30, 2022, following a courageous fight with cancer.
Born, May 2, 1956, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late Donald E. McKinnon and Helen Y. Shingler Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his nephew and niece that he raised, Brian and April McKinnon.
Jim was a member of Avondale Baptist Church in East Liverpool where he served as a deacon.
He was a man of his word, a man of honor, a man of integrity, a thoughtful man with a sense of humor, a generous man, a wise man, and the rock his family leaned on.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Sherrill Reed McKinnon; children, Susie McKinnon (Robert) of Salineville, Melanie Scott (Sean) of Wellsville, James McKinnon Jr. (Brandy) of East Liverpool, Brandie Ferraro (Micah) of Caldwell, OH. Nick Reed (Myra) of East Palestine, Jonathan Headland of East Liverpool and Joey Matheson (Michelle Watson); siblings, Sally Caughey of Charleston, SC., LeeAnn Andrews (Ben) of AL. and Randy West of WA., 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, eternal daughter, Paula Skelton and extended family and friends. He will be deeply missed fur baby that showed him love through this journey, Lillie Mae.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Noon, at Avondale Baptist Church, 700 Avondale St. East Liverpool, OH. 43920. The Arner Funeral Chapel assisted with these arrangements.
