James was born in Clinton, North Carolina and was raised in Alexandria, Virginia. After graduation, James started a long career in construction, as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was last employed at Jim Gunn & Coastal
Design & Construction.
James was a man who loved fishing, crabbing, and dancing.
James was predeceased by his brother, W. Donte' McLaughlin; sister, Sharlotte Lipcomb; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Vaughn McLaughlin; and Mr. & Mrs. Archester Williams.
James leaves to cherish his fond memories, his children, Jacquelyn McLaughlin, Jaiden McLaughlin; parents, James Sr. & Delsie McLaughlin; stepchildren, Kevin, TJ, Kyra, Darius, Tytiana; and a host of other relatives and friends.
