James Bowie McLeod, 62, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at South Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was born on July 18, 1959, in Valdosta and was a retired self-employed plastics salesman. He was a member of Peavine Baptist Church in Rock Spring, Ga.
Mr. McLeod is survived by his wife, Nancy McLeod of Ringgold, Georgia; his son and daughter-in-law, Vince and Sara Beth McLeod of Birmingham, Alabama; his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Kathryn and James Wright of Ringgold, Georgia; his grandchildren, Hillman Wright, Brantley Wright, Harper Young, and Baker McLeod; his father and mother, Ferrol and Mary Ann McLeod of Lake Park; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca and Doyle Brooks of Trout, Louisiana, and Terri and Randy Farmer of Atlanta; his aunt, Cynthia Manion of Valdosta, and several nieces and nephews; his four-legged friend, Bear McLeod.
Memorial Services for James McLeod will be held at a later date. There are no local services scheduled and Mr. McLeod will be cremated according to his wishes. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane
