James McNeil Obituary
Born in Middletown on March 9, 1941, to the late James D. and Mary (Horler) McNeil, Jim grew up in Unionville and had been living in Greenville for the past 54 years. James was a co-owner of the Minisink Rubber Co. in Unionville. An avid reader and history buff, especially American history, Jim followed in his mother's footsteps in becoming a local historian for the Minisink Heritage Museum. He was also a passionate Hot Rod enthusiast and car builder, and has won numerous awards over the years.
Predeceased by his parents, Jim is survived by his loving wife, RoseMarie (DeSantis) McNeil; sons Jim McNeil and partner Marli Fracaro and Jeffrey McNeil; sisters Karen Sonnergren and Marilyn Stearns and brother-in-law Rod; as well as his brother Daniel McNeil and wife Barbara, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Jim will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 5-8PM at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, NJ 07461. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, March 14, 11AM at the Unionville Cemetery, 83 Waterloo Road, Westtown, NY (Town of Minisink)
