Mr. James "Jim" George Mensinger, 87, went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 10, 2024.
Left to cherish the memory of Mr. Jim is his children; Ronald James Mensinger (Patricia Ann), Pamala "Pam" Marie M. Kirton (Joe "Boots"), Lenny Russell, and David Serbin, grandchildren; Joshua Mensinger (Kylie), Jodi Cook (Jamie), and Autumn Tapler (Garry), great grandchildren; Marcus Cook, Ryan Cook, Madilynn Cook, Kameron Knight, Jack Knight, Aubrey Tapler Seth Mensinger, Kylie Mensinger, and Katie Mensinger, and siblings Frank Smith (the late Jane), and Rose M. Zuraski (George).
Mr. Jim is the son of the late John Beech Mensinger and the late Elsie Mae Cramer Mensinger. He was born February 3, 1937, in Mount Pleasant, PA. Mr. Jim met the love of his life, Leilani Lee Bell, while working in California. They lived about 15 miles from each other in Pennsylvania and did not meet until density brought them together in California. They were married for 58 years until her passing on January 17, 2020. He is also preceded in death by siblings; Eileen Knouse (the late Ralph) and the late Paul McBeth (the late Mary).
Mr. Jim retired from RTC Transit where he was a Bus Driver for 37 years. Prior to working for RTC Transit he worked 5 years for the Golden Nugget in Reno, NV, and Amtrak in Reno, NV. He was a loving husband. Mr. Jim enjoyed spending time in the casino. He moved to South Carolina in November of 2022 to be near his daughter and grandchildren. He thoroughly enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren. Mr. Jim loved his cats and dogs.
Mr. Jim will be laid to rest beside his wife Leilani in the Our Mother of Sorrow Catholic Cemetery in Reno, NV.
