James A. Mesecher

James Allen Mesecher, 54, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 5:12 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison. He was born on August 23, 1970 in Fort Madison, IA, the son of Robert Mesecher & Frances "Kiki" Prado. He enjoyed hunting, catering food, fishing, the Iowa Hawkeyes, Pittsburg Steelers, Indiana Fever and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Jamie is survived by: his fiancé: Michelle Hess of Fort Madison, IA; 5-children: Alicia (Justin) Couch of Kingsbury, TX, Moriah (Joseph) Rooney of Argyle, IA, Carmen Mesecher of Fort Madison, IA, Aiden Mesecher of Fort Madison, IA & Mia Mesecher of Fort Madison, IA; 1-step son: Drake Hess of Kahoka, MO; 5-grandchildren: Luna Couch, Noah Justice, Nevaeh Justice, Emorie Rooney & Iris Rooney; his mother: Kiki Prado of Fort Madison, IA; his father: Robert Mesecher of Altoona, IA; 1-sister: Mandy Mesecher of Canton, MO; 1-niece: Claire Cole of Canton, MO & his deer camp buddies. He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, 2-uncles: Tommy & Ronnie Prado and several aunts.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.
