James Miranda, 72, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Center. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Edmund Miranda and the late Lena P. (Cabral) Miranda.

A bus driver with SRTA for many years, James had also been a dispatcher with, and drove for, Veterans Taxicab. He enjoyed donating in support of local worthy causes benefiting veterans, the protection of animals, and also Citizens For Citizens. James loved working with his hands and was skilled in carpentry and electrical work, which served him well in maintaining properties he owned and managed.

Mr. Miranda also owned Miranda Package Store, which he enjoyed operating for a number of years with his former wife, Gloria J. (Agrelo) Miranda, who predeceased him.

He is survived by: sons, James E. Miranda and Dwayne E. Dean both of Fall River; siblings, Richard Miranda (wife Dorene), Robert Miranda; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. James was predeceased by his twin, Joseph, and brothers, Dennis and Edmund.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Calling Hours to be held in Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford Street, Fall River, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

His Funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 9:00 am from the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St, Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered in St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10:00 am. Committal Service and interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
