James Moore Obituary
He is survived by his son, James Moore, and daughter, Carolyn Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Harlan Moore, Sr. and Viola Moore; his son, Derrick Moore, and sisters, Mary Jane Doolittle and Donna Smith.
Jim Moore was a longtime member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 77, active in the local Democratic Party, an avid world traveler, and known for his sense of humor. He will be remembered with love and deeply missed.
A private gathering to celebrate his life will be held on January 24, 2026.

I met Mr Jim when I moved to harrisonburg 10 years ago. He and I had so much in common considering we both were from DC well oxon hill Maryland. With this area being ALOT different from up North Mr Jim made me feel welcomed. Throughout the years we kept on touch through church and couple bars that I worked at. He had been on my mind lately ALOT so I knew God was in need of his angel. I really would love to attend the gathering I completely understand if the family wants just them. Please know my thought and prayers are with you, I will always remember him and celebrate him everyday. My condolences,
