James Harvey Morris was born April 19, 1954 in Butler, Missouri. The son of Arthur and Neta Pancake Morris. Jim grew up in the Butler area and was united in marriage to Linda Bursby on August 28, 1976 in Eldorado Springs, Missouri. Seven children were born to this union, Carla, James, Robert, Kelly, Sara, Aaron, and Timothy.
Jim worked at Vit-A-Zine for 40 years before retiring in 2015. He also enjoyed owning and operating the family farm. He began his farming career with row crops, continuing for many years until he switched to livestock, which included, Dogs, pigs, cattle, and horses over the years. Jim would always say, "he was a jack of many trades, and master of none." Always working on tractors, farm equipment, cars, as well as plumbing and electrical. He always had plenty of projects in the works, but still had time to help family with whatever was needed.
Jim loved the farm, but he especially enjoyed spending time with the love of his life Linda. Together they would tackle projects on the farm, travel, and relax on cruises.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Linda Morris, and infant daughter Rebecca. He is survived by his children, Carla Maynard, James Morris and wife Sherry, Robert Morris and wife Jamie, Kelly Morris, Sara Morris, Tim Morris, and Aaron Morris. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, siblings, Charlie Morris, Betty Blanketenship, Chester Morris, Jean Moore, and Robert "Bob" Morris, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
