James H. Nason, 80, of West Boxford, MA, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Boxford on July 21, 1945, son of the late Henry J. and Ruth (Covell) Nason.

James was educated in the Boxford School System and graduated from Masconomet Regional High School with the Class of 1964. He went on to receive his associates degree from the Culinary Institute of America. He was the owner and operator of Nason's Stone House Farm, Inc.

He was a volunteer Firefighter for the Boxford Fire Department for 24 years and continued to serve the department and community as Santa Claus for years after. He was a devoted team member of the Boxford Men's bowling league that played at Academy Lanes in Bradford, MA. He was a member of the 4H Club and the Essex Agricultural Society. The family staffed a booth at the Topsfield Fair for many years. Jimmy served on every board at the Second Congregational Church of Boxford above and beyond being a faithful member, greeter, and usher. The church was also the venue at which he fell in love with his "pretty lady."

Jimmy was predeceased by his wife Sandra "Sandi" (Littlefield) Nason and his eldest brother William Paulson.

He is survived by his children: Jody C. Nason and her partner Steven Wilson of Haverhill, MA, Melissa B. Georgi and her husband Justin A. Georgi of Glendale, AZ, Kevin J. Nason of Boxford, MA, Kimberly M. Robertson of Boxford, and Rebecca M. Nason of Boxford, his siblings Donald Paulson of Petersburg, NY, Mary Corthell of Bridgeton, ME, and Elizabeth Lucas of Amherst, MA. He was the loving grandfather to Morgan E. Robertson, Russell M. Georgi, Tobias J. Georgi, Amayah M. Thomas, and Ariyana R. Thomas.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Friday, August 29, from 5-7 PM at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford. His funeral service will be on Monday, September 1st at 2 PM, at the Second Congregational Church, 173 Washington St., Boxford, MA. Private interment will be in the Brookside Cemetery, Boxford.
