James W. O'Brien, a dedicated family man and HVAC technician, passed away on November 23, 2024, at the age of 70, in Stony Brook, New York. Born on December 15, 1953, in Queens, New York, James made his mark in both his professional life and with those who were lucky enough to know.
Having graduated high school, James embarked on a rewarding career in the HVAC industry, where he applied his skills with diligence and care, earning the respect of his colleagues and clients alike. His commitment to his work was evident in the way he approached every task, ensuring that those he served felt valued and appreciated.
He is survived by his beloved partner, Patricia Anello, and his daughter, Victoria O'Brien. Also cherishing his memory are his brothers, Gerald (Debbie) O'Brien, Daniel (Ginny) O'Brien, and Kevin (Cathy) O'Brien, alongside his sister, Maureen (Tom) Prunty. James also joins in spirit his parents, Gerald and Marcella O'Brien, who predeceased him.
A memorial gathering to honor James' life and legacy will be held on December 15, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY, 11729. A prayer service will follow at the same location starting at 1:00 PM.
James's warmth, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family and work will be greatly missed. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
