James Edward Ogle, a loving father, husband, grandfather, and brother passed away on October 12, 2024 at the age of 78. He was born on September 21, 1946, in Sevier County, Tennessee.

James dedicated many years of his career to Sears, where he worked in small engine repair and became known for his expertise and willingness to help others. He had a unique ability to fix items, often drawing people to him with their broken machinery in hopes of his skilled touch.

A good old country boy from the mountains of Tennessee, James enjoyed various hobbies, particularly hunting and fishing. However, his two greatest passions in life were riding his Harley, which allowed him to find freedom on the open road, and his wife of over 50 years, Rhonda, who preceded him in death. His adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors were well-reflected in his lifestyle.

Above all, James was deeply devoted to his family. He was a dad and pawpaw to so many more than family. Throughout his life, one of his proudest accomplishments was fostering over 75 children, providing them with a sense of security and support that profoundly impacted their lives. He is survived by his devoted children, Kristie Stephens and husband Matt, Jama Hayes, Sharon Summers, and James "J.J." Ogle; grandchildren, Steven, Chasity, Donavan, Madison, and Connor; as well as his great-grandchildren, Hudson, Holden, Arianna, and Michaela; and sisters, Patty Griffin and Debbie Morton.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rhonda Ogle; his parents, Hansel and Dorothy Ogle; his brother, Bobby "Bo" Ogle; and his sisters, Connie Veals, Anna Faye Ogle, and Joyce Ogle Blagg.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 PM on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Gibsonville City Cemetery.

James leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and kindness that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
