Albert Wayne McBane, 75, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Winston Mebane McBane and Elizabeth Foust McBane.

Wayne retired as a HVAC Tech for Durham Public Schools. He was a talented woodworker building his own log home. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, watching old westerns, looking after his farm animals and his Beagles. Wayne was someone everyone could depend on if they needed anything.

Wayne is survived by his son, Phillip Wayne McBane and his daughter, Wendy Renee Tucker both of Traveler’s Rest, South Carolina; his step daughters, Christy Teveuphal of Granville County, North Carolina and Melissa Shannon of Destin, Florida; nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; sisters, Katie Fields of Graham and Debbie Duggins of the home; his special aunt Margaret Foster and his former wife, Ellen McBane. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Francis Snow McBane; his parents, son, Jeremy Dale McBane and his brothers, Gene McBane and David Foust.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 3PM at Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church by Rev. Jimmy Wooten and Darrell Kidd. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3PM at the church prior to the service and other times at the home.

Memorials may be made to Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church,4683 Cedar Cliff Road, Graham, NC 27253.
