James Opfer Obituary

Jimmy Opfer, age 51, of La Monte passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 at his
home. He was born August 24, 1972 in Sedalia, MO the son of Charles W. and Edna
(Reynolds) Opfer.
He was a graduate of La Monte High School.
Over the years Jimmy worked various jobs. He was employed by Precision Wood until
they closed their doors. He also worked as a farm hand.
Jimmy is survived by his siblings Charles Opfer of La Monte, MO, Betty Wood of
Sedalia, MO, David Opfer (Dana) of Alton, IL, Brenda Opfer of La Monte, MO, and eight nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles W and Edna Opfer, a sister Barbara
Rhodes, and a nephew Jason Dale Opfer, maternal grandparents James B. and Edna
Mae (Coates) Reynolds and paternal grandparents Herman A. and Emma Opfer.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2023 at the La Monte
Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
