James was born the son of Duane Axdahl and Leona Ortley on June 4, 1974 in Minneapolis, MN
Survived by children, Johnny Ortley, James Ortley, George Ortley, Lewis Ortley, Marissa Ortley, Danielle Ortley, and Leona Ortley; siblings, Theresa Ortley, Chrissy (Mike) Iverson, Cathy Reyes, Mike Escobedo, Patricia Salazar, Lisa Ortley, Stephanie Ortley, Andrea Ortley and Nancy (Arturo) Navarro; many grandchildren; special cousin, Teresa Ortley; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Duane Axdahl and Leona Ortley; brothers, David Axdahl, Buddy Axdahl, Duane Ortley and Samuel Ortley; sister, Jeanetta Jones; aunts and uncles, Florence Eischens, Frank Ortley, Mary Ortley, Louise Westbrook, David Ortley and Steven Ortley Jr.; nephews, Frank "Spanc" Ortley, Dion Ortley, Christopher Ortley, Lucio Davila, Tyler Townsend (partner, Michelle Rock).
Casket Bearers will be Bryant Cooper Jr, Jamison Kingbird, Andre Haywood, Johnny Ortley, Charles Ortley, Jonathan Weyaus, Alan Thompson and Max Haywood
