James “Wesley” Osborne, age 46 of Talbott, TN, passed away on October 19, 2025. He was always filled with joy and loved everyone. He enjoyed time with family and friends who always felt blessed after being with him. He loved music and would sing along to any song that you would play. Wesley’s love, singing, laughter, and beautiful spirit will be deeply missed and held with fondness by all who were blessed to have known him.
Wesley was preceded in death by his mother, Diana Bishop Osborne and grandfather, Albert V. “AV” Bishop. Wesley is survived by his grandmother, Wanda Bishop, sister, Lynn Rogers and husband, Patrick, special friends who were more like family, Jimmy Shepherd, Michael and Donna Shepherd, Billy and Myrtle Shepherd, and Larry and Linda Harney, his pastor and his family who were always there, Stephen Raby, his wife, Diane, and son, Jesse.
Wesley was a member of First Love Church of God in White Pine, TN. He enjoyed every service and could be heard joyfully singing along with the hymns.
Wesley deeply loved and missed his mother. After her passing, he would sit and talk to her picture. He was looking forward to seeing her again. The Lord has now given him his greatest desire.
Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service with Pastor Stephen Raby officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial gifts be made to the community garden established by First Love Church of God. Due to Wesley’s constant concern for the well-being of others, this garden will now be called, “Wesley’s Garden.” These donations can be sent to First Love Church of God, 1188 Highway 113, White Pine, TN 37890.
