James Oster Obituary
James "Jim" L Oster, 82, of LaSalle passed away on February 20, 2024 in Greeley. Jim was born in Boulder on September 18, 1941 to William and Edna (Oster) Oster. He grew up and lived his whole life on his farm south of LaSalle where he raised a variety of crops. He also taught school for a few years in Keenesburg, CO followed by many years teaching science at the middle school in Eaton, CO. He loved teaching science more than most teachers.
He was a lifetime member of the Greeley Seventh Day Adventist church where he also spent a lot of time teaching middle school aged kids. He enjoyed farming for the most part and was quite successful.
He is preceded in death by his wife Lelia Oster in 2021. He is survived by his son Marc (Yariela) Oster, and two grandsons Luke and Aaron Oster as well as by two sisters; Helen Lee and Alice Hinkle. He will be missed by his family and friends and fondly remembered by many.
Jim's Life Celebration will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Greeley Seventh Day Adventist Church with a lunch to follow. Inurnment at the Beebe Draw Cemetery, located on the Oster family farm. Condolences may be shared at AdamsonCares.com.
