James Oliver Otts, age 94, of Gattman, MS, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Bro. Thad Hawkins to officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.
James was born on September 19, 1930 in Lamar County, AL to the late Kelly Lee Otts and the late Ellis Velma Smith Otts. He attended Fairview School. James previously worked as a logger, farmed, and for McCoy Manufacturing. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He also liked playing music and working on cars. James was very proud of his family and loved spending time with them. His humble heart and kind spirit will always be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
