Seminole, OK resident James Baxter Overall passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025 in Seminole at the age of 57. James was born on May 5, 1968 in Borger, TX to Lois Adams and Alan Overall. He moved to Holdenville, OK at the age of ten and to Seminole at the age of 15. There he met the love of his life Lydia Chambers when he was 17 and she was 16. They married on October 23, 1987 and together they raised two children.
James and Lydia were always a two for one deal and if you saw one you soon saw the other to follow. He was devoted to his family as his children and grandchildren meant everything to him. James coached t-ball, soccer, was a cub-scout leader and even helped Lydia make the background scenery props for school plays. He and Lydia attended every field trip for both of their children. James was a band booster for nine years and chaperoned many school dances and proms. He was a sponsor for the National Forensic League and the debate and academic team. James helped with every activity his children participated in side by side with Lydia all through the years. He enjoyed driving the RZR with his grandsons, working on the pool and yard as well as working in his shop. He loved spending time with the grandbabies and going to ball games and going anywhere with his wife. James was a good and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Highway Baptist Church.
James is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lydia Overall together 40 years; son James Tommy Alan Overall; daughter Ashley June Lawson (Overall); sister Kathy Persinger (Overall); grandchildren Abbie June Emma Overall, Mark James Lawson and Nolan James Overall; mother Lois Adams and many other family and friends.
