Tecumseh resident, Jerrie Dean Price, 71, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025, at her home.
Jerrie, the daughter of Lawnie and Norma (Tarpley) Hale, was born April 1, 1954, in Holdenville. She grew up in Seminole and graduated from New Lima High School with the class of 1972. On April 21, 1972, Jerrie married Joseph Henry Price, in Seminole. Jerrie and Joseph enjoyed 36 years of marriage prior to his passing on May 23, 2008. Jerrie spent many years working as a cook with Seminole Schools, Dale Schools, and Southern Nazarene University. Jerrie was a great mom, wife and grandma, who never met a stranger. She had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed fishing, camping, and working in her flower garden, but nothing was as important to Jerrie as time spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Price, and her parents, Lawnie and Norma Hale.
Jerrie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Steven Steele, of Tecumseh, and Julie and Trey Holmes, of Eustace, Texas; five grandchildren, Shelby Ary, Courtney Scott, Joseph (Joey) Price, and Brock Harris; seven great grandchildren, Sophie Ary, Kolton Ary, Jody Price, Jayce Price, Bralyn Whittet, Kyden Whittet, and Nolan Whittet; sisters, Sharon Post, of Seminole, and Donna Houck, of Tecumseh; along with many other family members and friends.
A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, with Carl Whitfield officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
