James "Jim" Pajer of O' Fallon, Missouri, passed away on November 11, 2025 at the age of 77. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda "Lynn" Pajer (née: Martz) of O' Fallon, Missouri; three children, Leigh Pajer of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, Lauren (Aaron) Lyons of Hendersonville, North Carolina, and Andrew "Drew" (Michelle "Shelly") Pajer of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri; six grandchildren, Brooke Grant, Autumn Grant, Holly Pajer, Emily Pajer, Jace Pajer, and Hazel Pajer; He is preceded in death by his father, George Pajer, mother, Kathryn Pajer (née: Tomasic), brothers, Frank Kish, Richard Kish, Jerry Kish, and George Pajer IV, sister, Georgia Pajer.
Jim, a proud member of the Admiral King High School Class of 1966 in Lorain, Ohio, lived a life full of love, adventure, and devotion to his family. After graduating, he married his beloved Lynn in 1969, and together they raised three wonderful children: Leigh, Lauren, and Andrew.
In 1970, Jim began a dedicated 42-year career with PolyOne, a journey that took him and his family to many places, including Chicago, Indianapolis, Venezuela, Cleveland, and Saint Louis. He eventually retired in Arizona, where he enjoyed a very active life.
Jim believed in living life to the fullest with the mentality of never having a single regret. He loved his active 8 Dachshunds over the years. He was passionate about cycling, golf, playing pool, poker, hiking, and was an avid bowler. He also loved to travel and read, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Poppy."
Jim never missed a chance to make everyone feel welcome. To many, he was a second father, a mentor and a true friend. Those who were blessed to know him will never forget his infectious grin and wonderful sense of humor. His playful teasing was his way of spreading smiles wherever he went.
Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorials: In honor of Jim, memorials may be made to: Alzheimer's Association, National MS Society or Esophageal Cancer with the American Cancer Society.
A celebration of life will be planned for June.

Very sorry to learn of Jim´s passing. Jim was a very positive role model for me growing as an extension of the Martz family, even if Tony didn´t always think so. Jim taught Jeff and I to play mumbly peg with a jack knife, a very important life skill. He set a great example as a student, husband, father and friend. It did not matter if you had not seen Jim for a decade or more, the conversation continued without a pause. His enormous smile and huge heart will be missed by all. Deepest condolences to Lynn and family
