James Kevin Parmer passed away on July 8, 2025 at his home in Dallas, Texas. He was the beloved son of Linda Beth Dodson and William Carrel Parmer.
Kevin was born in Dallas, Texas and lived in Mesquite, Texas for many years. He graduated from North Mesquite High School in 1987. He attended college at the University of North Texas where he received his Bachelors Degree in Art.
Kevin spent his career in Graphic Arts at the Dallas Musuem of Art for almost 20 years, where he earned the respect of his colleagues and clients alike. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, art, and playing the drums in several bands earlier in his life. He loved the outdoors, good conversation, and spending time with those he cherished most.
Kevin is survived by his mother Linda Tyler, brother Bill Parmer, uncles/aunts Philip Dodson, Kenneth and Mary Beth Brewer and Jimmy Parmer. He is preceded in death by his father William Carrel Parmer.
He was loved by many friends and family and will be missed.
