While in high school, Jimi took a job at Monroe Trophies, which set him on his career path. He later worked at the Academy Group in Toledo for several years before striking out on his own. For more than two decades he was the owner and operator of EventGraphx making signs for golf and tennis tournaments. As he traveled the country he met many interesting individuals on his journey. He loved to socialize, had a great sense of humor, and was often the life of the party. Unfortunately, his business was limited by the effects of the Covid pandemic, effectively putting an end to it.
Jimi was blessed with three sons. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, cherishing the time spent at the family retreat in Northern Michigan. He spent many hunting seasons in a blind waiting for the perfect deer.
James Carl "Jimi" Pauli, Jr. age 58, of LaSalle passed away at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital on Saturday; May 17, 2025. He had been in declining health. To cherish his memory, he leaves his loving parents: Jim and Mary Kay Pauli of Monroe; three sons: James A., Christopher S., and Matthew P.; two grandsons: Mason and Jacob; a granddaughter: Silvia; two sisters: Jill (Paul) Roman of Rocklin, California and Jamie Lynn Pauli of Monroe; a nephew: Cassius; and a niece: Carrera.
Friends may gather from 3:00pm until 5:00pm on Wednesday; May 21, 2025, at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe, Michigan 48161 (734) 241-7070. A Funeral Service Celebrating His Life will take place at 5:00pm also at Merkle's. For those in attendance, dinner will be served immediately following the service. Cremation has taken pace through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan, a division of Merkle Enterprises, Inc.
