Jason Gregory Hill

Jason Gregory Hill, who lovingly became known as "Dayday", was born on September 24, 1972, in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of two sons born to the union of Darrell Hill and Melba (Pulcheon) Hill. Jason attended Jefferson High School and although he didn't graduate, he was proud to have earned his GED later in life.
On October 12, 2001, in Maumee, Ohio Jason married the love of his life, the former Deborah Moore and together the couple were blessed to raise three children: Anthony, Monique, and Misty. To provide for his family he drove truck the past ten years for the Star Cartage Company.
Jason loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church for decades. A true outdoorsman and proud American, Jason appreciated his second amendment rights and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed everything nature could offer from hunting deer in Jackson and Manchester, to casting a line in Lake Erie in hopes of reeling in some walleye or perch, to snowmobiling with his brother-in-law: Dave throughout Monroe and occasionally in Mio, Michigan.
Jason was full of joy and loved laughter. He was the ultimate prankster, never taking life too seriously and enjoyed instigating his grandchildren who he loved dearly.
Jason Gregory "Dayday" Hill, age 53 of Frenchtown Township, Michigan passed away peacefully on Wednesday; October 8, 2025, at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. His passing was preceded by his father: Darrell Hill and his brother: Darrell Hill.
To cherish his memory he leaves behind his loving wife of twenty-three years: Deborah Hill; three children: Anthony Bijarro, Monique (Michael) Kligensmith, and Misty Treadway; his mother: Melba Hill; a sister: Stacey (David) Grow; eight grandchildren: Chelsey (Katy) Bijarro, Cody (Carolina) Bijarro, Mark Smith, Paige (Cameron) Fountain, Robert Metcalf, Kayleigh (Christopher) Bush, Brianna Smith, and Caleb Smith; six great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may gather from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Monday; October 13, 2025, at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Jason's Life will begin at 6:00pm also a Merkle's with Reverend Joseph Baird of LaSalle Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Cremation will follow through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan, a division of Merkle Enterprises, Inc.
