James Wayne Peeler, 50, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Stonecrest Hospital. Born in Fort Bragg, NC., he is the son of Pamela Anderson Sumrall of Doyal, TN. and the late James Ray "Bo" Peeler. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Danyelle "Dany" Sumrall; grandparents, Howard and Eunice Peeler and Wayne and Ollie Anderson; aunt, Judy Lynch and cousin, Jason Lynch.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Dana Gunnels Peeler of Murfreesboro; sister, Brandy Peeler Robertson (Trey) of Clarksville; step father, Don Sumrall of Murfreesboro; step-daughter, Madeline Frankum of Florida; step-son, Dustin Howard of Lebanon; nieces and nephews, Brandin "Red" Harrison (Taylor) of Christiana, Jasmine Robertson of Florida, Jayden Robertson and Jaylee Robertson both of Clarksville; great niece and nephew, Westin and River Harrison; mother-in-law, Flora Gunnels of Murfreesboro; cousins, Tammy Lynch of Shelbyville, Samantha Evans of AL. and Bruce Lynch of Rockvale.

James loved football including the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Falcons. He also enjoyed DC comic books, Star Wars, Star Trek and anything involving history.

His family will receive friends Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon at Woodbury Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 P.M. at Peeler cemetery, Woodbury, TN. Pallbearers include Tim Beech, Demond Scott, Keith Weatherly, Matt Dunivan, Andrew Lynch, Jayden Robertson, Trey Robertson and Brandin Harrison.
