James Alan Perrier, age 65, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN with his wife, children, and grandchildren by his side.
Jim was born in 1959 to James and Doreen Perrier in Grand Rapids, MN. He graduated from Grand Rapids High School where he loved to play hockey. He worked at Marcell Mill and for Heinz Carlson in Coleraine as a cable operator. He joined the mines in his early 20s and retired after 36 years. Jim was an avid fisherman and guide, receiving sponsorships from Muskie House for the many tournaments he participated in with his daughter and friends. He enjoyed hunting and trapping and was an all-around outdoors man. Jim was known for his sense of humor and wit. He loved music and had the ability to change the lyrics to any song; if you know, you know.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Julie (Perrier) Jensen; aunt, Peggy Rondeau; uncle, Timothy Perrier; and cousin, Mary Rondeau.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Wilson; daughters, Jen (Jace) Perrier, Jordan (Jeff) Anderson, and Taryn Wilson; son, Jason (Amber) Wilson; sister, Linda (David) Smith; and grandchildren, Doree, Abram, Eli, Oscar, Daniel, Jesse, Austin, Jackson, Adelynn, Jayden, Elizabeth, Cole, and Ethan.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids, MN with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM.
