James Albert Phillips, 24, of Traphill, passed away, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in Summerfield, SC. James was born October 22, 2000, in Surry County to Albert and Amy Osborne Phillips.
James was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
James was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Osborne, and paternal grandmother, Mary Phillips.
Survivors include his parents, Chris and Amy Osborne Phillips; paternal grandfather, Albert Phillips; maternal grandmother, Lena Osborne; sister, Laura Phillips; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The Phillips family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in State Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church and designated to “From Now On Ministries” (http://fromnowonministries.org ), PO Box 981 Elkin, NC 28621 or to the National Wild Turkey Federation – Surry Longspurs chapter and designated to the “JAKES” program, c/o Buffy Bryant, 187 Ararat Longhill Rd., Pilot Mountain, NC 27041.
