James Pingleton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lakes Funeral Home on Jan. 15, 2026.
James A. Pingleton, Jr., age 60, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, in Somerset. Born on July 13, 1965, in Killeen, Texas, he was a man of warmth, laughter, and an unwavering love for life's simple pleasures.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Barbara Pingleton, and his brother, Charles O. Pingleton. His legacy continues through his beloved son, Michael (Ashleigh) Pingleton, his cherished granddaughter, Madison Grace Pingleton, and both of his sisters, Gracie "Cookie" Hendrickson and Verla "De" Gower. His loving girlfriend, Linda McGregor, stood by his side, sharing in his passions and adventures.
Junior's zest for life was evident in his many interests. He had a passion for playing the guitar and enjoyed playing with his son. He enjoyed fishing because it was a time of tranquility and peace, especially when accompanied by Linda. Junior always loved fast cars, and that was matched only by his unwavering support for the Pittsburgh Steelers anytime they played.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm, Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea. Burial will follow in the Pilot Knob Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 pm to 1 pm for family and 1 pm to 2 pm for friends, at the funeral home. Condolences may be left for the family at www.lakesfuneralhome.com
