James B. Pipp, age 78, of McKeesport, died September 22, 2025, at the H. John Heinz III Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Born December 5, 1947, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Ralph and Mary Ann (DeFlitch) Pipp and husband of Madeline (Coltogirone) Pipp.

A proud veteran, James served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he courageously participated in the historic Tet Offensive. His commitment to his country was a source of pride for him and a legacy that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him. James was not only honored for his service but also remained actively involved in his community, serving as a former member of the 11th Ward Club in McKeesport and participating in various local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) activities.

He is survived by children, Angel (Frank) Jackson and James Pipp; grandchildren, Veronica (Jacob) Butler, Angelina Pipp, and Gracie Pipp; siblings, Mary Ann Meyers and Paul (Ronda) Pipp; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, John Pipp and Ralph Pipp.

Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory for a memorial gathering on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Committal and military honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.
