Ralph Andrew Pipp, age 92, passed away peacefully Friday, February 14, 2025, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, WI. He was born in Milwaukee on June 28, 1932, as the middle of three sons to John and Alma Pipp.
Ralph graduated from Washington High School, Milwaukee, WI in 1950 and went to the University of Southern California where he received a degree in accounting in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957.
Ralph met the love of his life, Faith Gauger, while working at a summer job in Germantown, WI in 1955. They were married on December 28, 1957. Ralph and Faith lived for 6 years in Madison, WI and were long time residents of Brookfield, WI where they raised their family of three boys: Stephen Taylor (1959), Michael Jon (1961) and Daniel Aaron (1969).
Ralph worked as an accountant for a couple companies in Madison and then as Chief Financial Officer for several corporations in Milwaukee, the last 12 years with Kuehn Rubber (now Marian Milwaukee), until his retirement in 1998. He was also a business entrepreneur creating and running a beer and wine import venture for several years.
Ralph was passionate about people and learning their stories of how they succeeded in life. He enjoyed time with family at home, the ski slopes, or at a longtime cottage in Door County, WI. Ralph enjoyed adventure including activities such as piloting his own plane, alpine and XC skiing, scuba diving, windsurfing, and traveling which he enjoyed most of all with his bride of 67 years.
Ralph and Faith enjoyed their retirement, living for over 20 years in the town of Carefree, AZ where they were active in the community. Ralph was involved in the Carefree Kiwanis Club, the Desert Foothills Library, the Scully Learning Center, and their church. He was also a highly skilled wood turner and artisan especially during his retirement years in Arizona. He and Faith returned to Wisconsin moving to Green Bay in 2019 to be closer to family.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife Faith of Green Bay, WI; sons Steve (Paula) Green Bay, WI; Michael (Andrea), Helena, MT; and Dan (Julie) of Salina, KS; grandsons Andrew (Samantha), Sheboygan Falls, WI; Alexander (Jessie), Madison, WI; Zachary, Manhattan, KS; granddaughters Kelsey, Atlanta, GA; Hannah, Denver, CO; seven great-grandchildren, and his sister-in-law, Peggy (Shade) Pipp of Silver Spring, MD.
Ralph was preceded in death by his father John, mother Alma, his brother and sister-in-law Arthur and Shirley (Blank), and brother Robert.
A private family memorial service will be held in Green Bay at a later date.
The family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Scully Learning Center (Cave Creek, AZ). Please add the note: "In memory of Ralph Pipp" (Donation button below).
