James Kenneth Pitcher Jr.

James Kenneth Pitcher, Jr., 88, of Westminster, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at BridgingLife Dove House. Born May 28, 1937, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late James Kenneth and Jeanne (Ayler) Pitcher, Sr. He was the loving husband of Dorothy Ruth Pitcher, his wife of 39 years. Jim was a graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1955. He worked in the telephone industry as a cable splicer for over 40 years. He spent 8 years in the National Guard and volunteered at Meals on Wheels after retirement. Jim was always busy with gardening, model railroading, reading, or being with family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by brother William Michael Pitcher and wife Sharon; niece Amy Wood; great nephew Alex Wood; stepdaughter Dawn Glover and husband Scott; step grandchildren Scotty Glover and wife Cassidy, Taylor Glover and fiancé Jonathan Martien; sister-in-law Shelby Hobbs; and many nieces and nephews. The family will welcome friends on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 9:30am to 10:30am at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. A memorial service will begin at 10:30am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Carroll Hospital Foundation, 200 Memorial Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
