James Powell Obituary

A memorial service to celebrate Sam's life will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. on the lawn of his home, 1439 G. Worley Road, Princeton, NC 27569.
Sam worked with his dad as a carpenter for many years and was skillful with his hands. He also worked for a long-time employer and friend Timmy Rhodes with Southern Ready Mix. Sam took pride in his passion for his collection of John Deere tractors and took every opportunity to show them off. He also got great joy from his ice cream.
Sam is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Heath Powell of the home; his daughter, Stacy Powell of Goldsboro; sister, Teresa Worley of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Robert and wife, Kay of Mount Olive; and three grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Carter.
Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
