James Edward Ramos

James Edward Ramos (Scratch) was born in Auburn, California, on July 18, 1958, and passed away in Grass Valley on December 18, 2024. Jim is survived by five sisters: Sande Delgado; Sherry Ramos; Teri Ramos; Keri Cordaro; and Kelley Keyser. He is also survived by his aunts, Carolyn Martinez and Linda Rey; and his uncle, Leroy Rey. He is also survived by his nephews, Brandon Arnold and Lindsey Delgado; nieces Suncerri Ramos, Tosha Delgado and Penny Martinez; grandnephews Gabriel Ramos and Felipe (Beb) Martinez; and grandnieces, Angelique and Emily Martinez. He is also survived by many cousins. Jim is predeceased by his parents Cecilia S. and Raymond R. Ramos. Also his maternal grandparents Violet A. and Cecil R. Rey; as well as numerous relatives. Jim graduated from Placer High School in 1979. He was an unofficial record holder of chair pushups at Placer High. He also loved to lift weights. He attended Grace Life Church in Lincoln under Pastor Fred Benzel. He had a generous spirit and help build many churches. He was kind and enriched numerous lives with his blessings. Jim was a tribal member of the United Auburn Indian Community. As a brave warrior, he fought a courageous fight against Stage Four Kidney Cancer. Through it all, he kept his faith and a positive attitude. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
