James "Jim" Reichlin February 17, 1950 - June 9, 2025 James "Jim" Reichlin left us suddenly to be with the Lord on June 9, 2025, at the age of 75. He was a longtime resident of Rockford, Michigan. Jim was born on February 17, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, to Joseph and Lucille Reichlin.

Jim was a talented and hardworking man who spent most of his life as a baker. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972. A gifted musician, Jim began playing the accordion at the age of 14 as part of the Hamtramck Accordiana group, earning several awards. He often joked about carrying his heavy accordion on the bus to events - a memory he shared with a smile. His musical talents eventually led him to perform with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. He had a deep love for music, especially the soulful sounds of Motown, which stayed with him throughout his life.

Jim lived vibrantly and joyfully. He had a sharp sense of humor, loved to tell jokes, and his contagious laugh always made others laugh harder. He found joy in gathering with loved ones - whether around a campfire or the kitchen table - sharing stories and making memories. He enjoyed the sunshine and proudly kept his tan year-round, often visiting his favorite local tanning salon where he loved chatting with "his girls."

Jim was a man of many talents and a mentor to many. He was generous with his time and wisdom, always willing to help others. On Sundays, he found peace and meaning in attending church, and he cherished calling his daughter, Heidi, so they could listen to the church bells together - a small but treasured tradition that reflected his deep love for family and faith.

Jim is survived by his loving daughters, Heidi and Hollie Reichlin; his son-in-law, James Groves; daughter-in-law, Heather Arioli; and stepson, Adam Hill. He is also survived by his devoted wife, Amy (Horter) Reichlin, and a special family friend, Tami Marlow. Jim deeply loved his grandchildren - Marcus, Haydan, Isaiah, Jayce, and Jada - and took great pride in their lives. He is also remembered by his lifelong friend Rick Cowell and his best friend Mike Moyer, both of whom held a special place in his heart.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lucille Reichlin, and his brother, Louis Reichlin.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. A celebration of life will be held, and all who cherished Jim are invited to join in reminiscing and honoring his remarkable life.
