JAMES ALBERT REMICK Jr. May 26, 1933 - October 24, 2017 We are saddened to announce the loss of Jim Remick on October 24, 2017. After a long struggle with lung cancer & COPD, Jim passed amongst family at his home in La Quinta, CA. Jim was born in Detroit (Gross Pointe), Michigan. After service in the Air Force, Jim found the great California weather too enticing and eventually established himself in Southern California where he and his wife raised their loving family. Over his lifetime, Jim was involved in multiple businesses. He had a keen sense for sales and truly enjoyed working with people. Jim moved to the Palm Springs area in 1985. He ultimately developed and grew a successful swimming pool / outdoor living environment business (now known as TESERRA). He retired from full-time work in 2004. Jim was an avid golfer and card player. He was always there to help those in need and was a friend to many. Jim will be thoroughly missed by all. Jim is predeceased by his daughter (Julie Remick - October 12, 2017). Jim is survived by his family: wife (Joan Remick), son (Jeff Lamb), son (Jim Remick), sister (Elizabeth Schreier) and sister (Susan Wressell). Memorial Services will be held on Saturday November 11, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn in Cathedral City.
