James Reynolds, Jr. Obituary
Mr. James King Reynolds, Jr., 86, passed away October 29, 2025.
Born July 6, 1939, James was a son of the late Florence Royce and James King Reynolds, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Spenser Hammond Reynolds and brother, Royce Reynolds.
A native of Bethesda, Tennessee, James attended the University of Tennessee and moved to Athens in 1992. He was owner and operator of Mercedes Benz of Athens for many years. James was active member of Athens First United Methodist Church, as well as Athens Country Club and Athens Rotary Club. James loved baseball, with one of his fondest memories of seeing Jackie Robinson play.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, WEST, Watkinsville with Rev. Jeremy Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Emily Hammond Reynolds; son, Sherman (Michelle) Reynolds; sister, Patricia Marlin.
