James Shannon Reynolds, 58, of Nicholasville, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born in Lexington on March 24, 1964, to James Reynolds and Carolyn Montgomery. He was raised on the farm of his maternal grandparents, George "Buddy" and Mae Montgomery, both of whom he loved dearly. Shannon was a long-time member of Nicholasville Methodist Church. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and farming, and he always loved watching old Westerns on TV. He is survived by his very special long-time friends, Charlotte Proffitt Todd, Lisa Lowry Lieb, and Greg Davis, his honorary niece, Danica King, as well as several cousins and other family members. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 14, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rusty Rhineheimer officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where bearers will be Brian Montgomery, Allen Montgomery, Greg Davis, Jimmy Burns, Jonathan Burns, and Shorty Rhineheimer. Charlotte Proffitt Todd, Lisa Lowry Lieb, T.J. Goodwin, and Suzie Q. "Peggy" Roark will serve as honorary bearers. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of service, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve Shannon and his family in their time of need.
