James Everett Riddle, Jr. Jr.

James Everett Riddle, Jr., age 84, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life on Friday, August 15, 2025, in Murfreesboro, TN.

Mr. Riddle was born in Woodbury, TN to his late parents Everett Riddle Sr and Virginia Henley Riddle. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served two tours in Vietnam. Mr. Riddle was of the church of Christ faith. He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and bird watching. Mr. Riddle enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by step-mother, Lynona Riddle.

Mr. Riddle is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jennifer Riddle; son, Jay Dean Riddle (Christal); daughter, Robin Jimette Mayton; brother, Richard Riddle(Christy); sisters, Bonnie Riddle Greene (Eddie), Belinda Riddle Phillips (Mike), and Bonita Riddle Jones (Chris); grandchildren, Josh Mayton, Jordan Mayton (Megan), Jayson Riddle, Jordan Miller; great grandchildren, Ledger and Parker Mayton; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 10:00am in the chapel of Central Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Beans Creek Cemetery in Hillsboro, TN.

Josh Mayton, Jordan Mayton, Johnny Alford, Richard Riddle, Spencer Riddle, and Jared Riddle will be serving as active pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers are JP Paulson, Buddy Hawkins, Dennis Hunt, Butch Stewart, Jeff Crosslin, James Dixon, James Delabar, Jason Wells, and Steve Graves.
