James Edward Ross, 80, of Palm Bay, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025.

Born on January 15, 1945, in Camden, South Carolina, he was the son of the late John Allen Ross and Louise Dinkins. James shared 58 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Gloria Ross, building a life centered on faith, family, and service.

He proudly served his country as a Vietnam Veteran before dedicating 20 years of service to the Department of Corrections. He went on to faithfully lead as Pastor of New Life Assembly of God for 30 years.

James was a proud father to Erainer Coira, Ericka Ross-Murray, Jaime Ross and his wife Mercedes, and Mark Ross. He was also blessed with eleven grandchildren: Coriann Coira, Jamiriam Ross, John Murray, Te'Quan Ross, Destiny Ross, Brandon Jackson, Josiah Ross, Zoe Eldemire, Caleb Ross, and Kayla Ross, along with his grandson Sha'Kem Ross, who preceded him in death. He was also blessed with one great-grandchild, Corvin Warner.

James is survived by his brother Raymond Ross and his wife Carol. He was preceded in death by his siblings Jackie Ross, William Ross, Daisy Ross, and Katherine Ross. In addition, he leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

James will be remembered as a man of great faith who loved God deeply, preached the Word with conviction, guided many to salvation, and generously gave to his community. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and service that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
